By registering an account or using LoL Review as a guest, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service.

LoL Review is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or specifically approved by Riot Games, Inc. "League of Legends" and all related assets, champion names, and icons are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. Any game data, match statistics, or champion information retrieved through Riot's API is subject to Riot's own terms of service and developer policies. LoL Review does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of any third-party data, and accepts no liability for changes to or deprecation of third-party APIs.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, you must have parental permission.

You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We cannot be held liable for unauthorized access resulting from weak passwords or compromised email accounts.

You agree to use the application for its intended purpose. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to: storing illegal content, attempting to hack or reverse-engineer the infrastructure, using automated bots to scrape or mine data, attempting to disrupt the service for other users, creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions, impersonating other users or public figures, and commercially reselling or redistributing the service or any data obtained through it.

All data you create within LoL Review belongs to you. If you share your data within or outside the application with anyone, that is done with your consent. You grant LoL Review a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display your data for the purpose of providing and operating the service.

LoL Review is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for any data loss, account suspension, or service downtime. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of this service shall not exceed one hundred pounds sterling (£100) or the total amount you have paid to LoL Review in the preceding twelve months, whichever is greater.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms of Service without prior notice. You may also request to delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days. Sections 6, 7, 9, and 10 of these Terms survive account termination.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LoL Review and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the service; (b) any data or content you submit to or share through the service; or (c) your violation of these Terms.

These Terms and your use of the application are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

This Privacy Policy explains how LoL Review collects, uses, and protects your information. By creating an account, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

• Account Information: We collect strictly the minimal personal information required to maintain your account: your email address and an encrypted hash of your password.
• User-Generated Content: Reviews, notes, timestamps, profile configurations, and any other data you create or submit within the service.
• Cookies, Local Storage & Preferences: We use a secure, http only authentication cookie to maintain your login session. Your active profile selection may be stored in your browser's local storage. No personally identifiable information is stored client-side.

We do not intentionally store IP addresses, device identifiers, or browser fingerprints. We do not sell, rent, or distribute your personal data to any third parties.

We process your data under the following bases:

• Contractual necessity: To provide account access and note storage.
• Legitimate interests: To improve application performance and maintain security.

Your data is used solely to authenticate your login session, retrieve and display your content within the service, generate summary statistics from your data, and detect and prevent abuse of the service.

Passwords are hashed using the bcrypt algorithm and never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled exclusively via secure, http only cookies — no tokens are stored in your browser's local storage or accessible to client-side scripts. Authentication endpoints are rate-limited to protect against brute-force attacks. Data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. While we implement reasonable, industry-standard safeguards, no online system can guarantee absolute security, and you should use a strong, unique password for your account.

Your data is stored while your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all personal data and user-generated content is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Backup systems may retain residual copies for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent, and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@lolreview.net.

To operate the service, LoL Review uses the following trusted third-party providers, who may process your data only as necessary to perform their function:

• Render (render.com): Cloud hosting and server infrastructure. Your data resides on Render's servers.
• Cloudflare: Content delivery network and DNS. Cloudflare processes network requests and may log IP addresses and request metadata in transit.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver account verification and password reset emails.

None of these providers are authorised to use your data for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

In the event that LoL Review or its underlying business is acquired, merged, or transferred to a new operator, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance by email if this occurs, and the incoming operator will be bound by a privacy policy that offers no less protection than this one.

We may update these policies periodically to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
